Sutherland's tenure at Real Madrid from July 2019 to November 2023 was characterized by innovative leaps in fan engagement and digital transformation. His strategic initiatives significantly contributed to the evolution of Real Madrid's loyalty programs, Madridistas, embracing gamification, community-building and emerging technologies to enhance fan experiences.

Before his transformative role at Real Madrid, Sutherland made his mark in Silicon Valley as a key player in technological innovation, leading VR/AR in HP and supporting startups with his insight and expertise.
